Keep reading for more details but first my video resume á la Elle Woods:
I worked on both the full entry, descent & landing [EDL] sequence as well as many many many hours in the test lab integrating the EDL cameras that filmed a landing for the first time for any Mars mission.
Ok now for more words…
I’m a system engineer with an aerospace background. Unsurprisingly this means I have a lot of different interests.
My recent work experience is in space systems, autonomous vehicles, and air traffic management. As a student, I also did internships involving wind tunnel testing, atmospheric flight mechanics, computational fluid mechanics, and turbine engine fault diagnostics. My graduate work melded my interests in system engineering, space systems and atmospheric flight through work on entry, descent and landing (EDL) for human Mars missions.
For more details about my educational and work background, please check out my resume. You can also find me on LinkedIn.
My continuing technical interests in aerospace include space systems, EDL, atmospheric flight mechanics, and aircraft design for health and safety applications.
As a disabled person, I am also very interested in patient centered healthcare. Specifically, I am interested in applying a system engineering perspective to centering patients as primary stakeholders in the design of both healthcare technology & processes.
I also have an interest in design in general and have taken industrial design classes as well. Watch this space for my forthcoming portfolio.
I enjoy doing various side projects and a selection of my projects can be found here.
